Free Herbicide Resistant Weed Surveys Available for Farmers
To combat herbicide-resistant weeds, the North Dakota Corn Utilization Council (NDCUC) invites farmers and agronomists to participate in the North Dakota Herbicide Resistant Weed Survey by collecting and shipping pigweed and kochia leaves from multiple regions of North Dakota to the National Agricultural Genotyping Center (NAGC).
NDCUC Board Elects Executive Officer Team at Spring Quarterly Meeting
FARGO, North Dakota — March 29, 2023 – The North Dakota Corn Utilization Council board came together to elect three individuals to serve on the NDCUC Executive Officer Team at their spring quarterly board meeting on March 27, 2023.

FARGO, North Dakota — March 28, 2023 — This spring, the North Dakota Corn Utilization Council is saying “Thank you!” and “Goodbye!” to two board members as they complete their 2nd term as board representatives. Jason Rayner, Finley, ND, has served as a representative for District 2, comprised of Cass, Steele, and Traill counties since 2015. Also serving on the NDCUC board since 2015 is Terry Wehlander, Delamere, ND, who has served as a representative for corn producers in District 5, comprised of Ransom and Sargent counties.

NDCUC hires Molly Fern as Finance and Research Director
FARGO, North Dakota — March 22, 2023 — The North Dakota Corn Utilization Council is pleased to announce the addition of Molly Fern to their staff as Finance and Research Director.
A Fargo native, Fern earned her bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Mary. Then, she went to work for Target Corporation in Minneapolis. She later transferred to Arizona before returning to Fargo and working for a fellow North Dakota commodity group for more than 16 years. Molly joined the team at the North Dakota Corn Utilization Council in March 2023. “Coming from a non-ag background I have learned so much about the agricultural industry in the last 16 years with the North Dakota Soybean Council. I look forward to all I will learn and have to offer in my new journey with the North Dakota Corn Utilization Council,” shares Fern.
Northern Corn and Soybean Expo Brings Timely Content to North Dakota Producers
The 2023 Northern Corn and Soybean Expo will take place Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at the Fargodome in Fargo, ND. The agenda includes a range of compelling speakers and informative presentations to help farmers with their journey to increased productivity and profitability. The general sessions feature leading experts and topics that affect North Dakota farmers.

The North Dakota Corn Utilization Council publishes an annual report and year in review at the end of each fiscal year.
We are pleased to provide this annual report. Corn Importers from Japan to Visit U.S. Production and Export Facilities in Minnesota and North Dakota in Support of Export Exchange 2022
WASHINGTON, D.C. — An 11-member team of grain buyers from Japan will be in the United States on Oct. 11-18 to get a firsthand look at domestic corn production and the logistics of U.S. agriculture exports. This contingent is one of 21 groups with participants from over 50 countries that have traveled to the United States for the U.S. Grains Council’s (USGC) marquee event, Export Exchange.

The North Dakota Corn Utilization Council (NDCUC) was created in 1991 and consists of 7 members representing seven districts. The NDCUC oversees how North Dakota’s corn checkoff dollars are spent on research, education, and promotion of corn and corn products. Per the NDCUC election schedule, the 2022 spring election included board members and county representatives in Districts 3 and 4.
