The Northern Corn and Soybean Expo returned to the Butler Machinery Arena at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 — bringing a full day of market analysis, policy insight, research updates, and invaluable networking opportunities.
The 2026 program introduced two new “Early Riser” sessions designed to kick-start the morning with actionable insight on weather and transportation — two major variables affecting farm profitability. Daryl Ritchison, North Dakota State Climatologist and Director of NDAWN, opened the morning with an in-depth review of 2025’s weather challenges and expectations for the 2026 growing season. He was followed by Rachel Lemieux, Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad’s manager of soybean and oats.
Open throughout the day, the Trade Show and Research Pavilion brought together dozens of exhibitors representing seed genetics, crop protection, precision technology, financial services, and more. The Research Pavilion offered direct access to the latest university findings and extension resources — bridging the gap between research and real-world application.
As the Expo concluded at 4:30 p.m., attendees left better prepared to navigate an unpredictable agricultural landscape. For those already planning ahead, next year’s Expo is scheduled for February 9, 2027.
